(eng) Cha Eun Woo, the Magnificent: waiting for “ENTITY”.

I must be honest with you.

Writing these few words took me twice as long as it should have. I got stuck searching for the cover photo.

Impossible not to feel like Alice falling down the rabbit hole as soon as you enter the “Images” section of Google – let alone Pinterest – after typing “Cha Eun Woo”. And as you fall deeper and deeper, further and further down, you repeat all the vowels in ever new combinations in the act of expressing your appreciation for this magnificent human being.

Well. Let’s try to recover a little from this ruinous – yet wonderful – free fall and do what we are here for.

Cha Eun Woo. The basics: born as Lee Dong Min, he chooses as his stage name Cha Eun Woo because of the name of the character he played in one of his first acting jobs, “To be continued” (2015).
He saw the light of day in Gunpo, a small town south of Seoul with a population of just over 300,000, on March 30, 1997, zodiac sign Aries.

A few months ago he revealed that he has two MBTIs, although he says he doesn’t believe it all that much:

Cha Eunwoo and Lee Dong-min have different MBTIs. Cha Eun-woo is an INFJ and Lee Dong-min is an ENTJ.

Introverted, idealistic, conscientious, intuitive, and driven by the need for fulfillment as a professional; charismatic and authoritarian leader, rational, gritty, determined, and challenge-loving as a human being… he must have a hard time balancing all his personality traits!

Annus domini 2016 marked the beginning of Eun Woo’s journey in the world of K-Pop, with his debut in the group ASTRO. His delicate voice, with airy and powerful notes and his impeccable dancing skills, so fluid and energetic, have made him a star shining with his own light within the group. With his magnetic charm and brilliant personality, able to light up the stage and infect the audience with his smile, he makes it impossible not to be enraptured by his talent and naturalness.

[Currently, the group is on an indefinite hiatus to allow the members (in addition to Eun Woo, JinJin, MJ and Sanha) to pursue their solo ambitions. In addition, the members are still mourning the very sad death of their comrade Moon Bin, who left this world on April 19 last year. Here you can find the video of Eun Woo’s musical dedication to his departed friend]

In addition to the musical success that led him, together with ASTRO, to conquer the charts and establish himself on the international music scene, Cha Eun Woo pursued the acting career with tenacity and dedication, demonstrating a natural talent and versatility that are gradually being refined with maturity.

He made his movie debut in 2014 with Dugeun dugeun nae insaeng (or My Brilliant Life), even before the creation of the k-pop group; he has from there starred in many successful dramas, ranging from romantic and light-hearted roles to more complex and multifaceted characters, winning over time the acclaim of audiences and critics alike.

2023 saw him star in two highly successful projects: the fantasy drama “Island” – for Amazon Prime Video – and the romantic comedy “A Good Day to be a Dog” for Rakuten Viki, co-starring Park Gyu Young.

In “Island,” he played the role of an exorcist priest, showing a darker and more mysterious side to his talent, immersed in dark atmospheres and battles against evil.

In “A Good Day to be a Dog” he brought to life a character terrorized by dogs, giving us hilarious and moving moments in a plot that explores love, friendship and self-discovery.

Ours truly is not only a talented singer and actor, but he has also shown his skills as an MC (Master of Ceremonies … announcer, in layman’s terms). His career as MC has taken off thanks to his natural charm, eloquence, and charisma, traits that make him an enjoyable and endearing host. One of his most relevant experiences as an MC was on the music program “Show! Music Core“, where he shared the stage with other K-pop idols, welcoming guests, presenting performances, and interacting with fans. His ability to handle unexpected events and engage the audience made him a popular face on variety programs and as a presenter at award events, such as the MBC Music Festivals.

This experience as an MC has helped solidify his image as a versatile and – let’s face it – lovable entertainer, demonstrating his ability to connect with audiences and manage the dynamics of a live show. Her natural flair for communicating and entertaining has not only enriched her career, but also provided her fans with ever-new opportunities to appreciate her diverse talent.

Given his undeniable beauty, Eun Woo is also a highly sought-after testimonial and world-renowned ambassador for several brands. His magnetic charm, bright personality and impeccable reputation make him an ideal choice for companies that wish to associate their image with positive values such as youth, beauty and talent.

He has been chosen as an ambassador by brands such as Burberry, with whom he has been collaborating since 2021; Dior, which appointed him as the 2022 Beauty Ambassador for Asia-Pacific; Cornetto, which chose him for his sunny disposition and enthusiasm; and Milo Thailand, which selected him for his energy and toned image, making him a perfect testimonial for a brand that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.

Whether on stage or on set, Cha Eun Woo always shines with a bright and engaging light, with a tenacity and passion that drives him to continually push his limits. In his near future is the imminent release of “ENTITY,” the highly anticipated first solo Mini Album, which will be released tomorrow, February 15, 2024.

It will be followed by a tour, called “Just One 10 Minute: Mystery Elevator“, starting in Seoul on Feb. 17, touching Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan and Singapore, and ending in Indonesia on April 20.

That’s it. Now that I’ve been good and professional-because Eun Woo deserves the best of everyone-a final disclaimer:

Be careful. Following Cha Eun Woo can cause side effects such as wasted time on the Internet admiring photos and videos, and a fair decrease in work productivity. Moderate consumption is recommended-or, … no, forget what I said. Have the courage to experience Eun Woo’s adventure unfiltered!
